UV-STOP protection wash
UV-STOP UV-wasmiddel maakt van uw gewone kleding UV-werende kleding.
Simply adding 1 capful to the wash increases the protection factor of your clothing allowing you to enjoy the sun more safely! Normal summer clothes provide protection between factor 5 to 15. Our UV detergent gives your own (children’s) clothes a protection factor of UPF 50+. Similar to the protection of a sunscreen factor 50. Contains no allergens or preservatives, tested according to the strict Dutch standard. UVwash is an innovation developed by YOU&UV together with Dutch scientists. Instructions:
• Shake well before use.
• Per 4 kg of laundry add 1 cap UVSTOP.
• Wash and dry according to label instructions in garment.
• Use the highest possible temperature.
• Use only detergent/fabric softener and no other additives.

Description
UV detergent addition turns your ordinary clothing into UV-resistant clothing.
An ordinary t-shirt has an average protection factor between UPF5+ and UPF25+.( Ultra Violet Protection factor). After one wash with UVwash, that same t-shirt has a protection factor from UPF 30+ to UPF 50+. UVwash is hypoallergenic and therefore also suitable for baby and toddler laundry. UVwash can be used as an additive in your washing machine as well as in hand washing.

Safety
UVwash meets the strict European NEN standard for UV-resistant textiles and has been tested by the University of Groningen and SGS (an independent European institute) for safety and efficacy. UVwash is hypoallergenic and therefore also suitable for baby and toddler laundry.UVwash is used to make textiles more UV-resistant. This is achieved by adding a small amount of UVwash to laundry, during a wash. It cannot be excluded that UVwash may come into contact with the skin. Both possible hypersensitivity and allergic reactions are described in more detail below.
Hypersensitivity properties
Tests on the pure substances in UVwash show minimal sensitization reactions. Given the final very low concentrations in textiles or clothing, the potential for hypersensitivity is even lower, or even negligible.
Allergic properties Environmental properties.
Known allergenic substances are not used in UVwash. However, allergic reactions cannot be excluded for any substance. It is known that this is often a personal disposition or characteristic. Therefore YOU&UV does not issue a non-allergy statement. But with current knowledge, allergic reactions are not expected when using UVwash in clothing.
In the 4 years UVwash has been on the market, there has never been a hypersensitivity reaction reported at YOU&UV.
Environmental properties
UVwash is used to make textiles more UV-resistant. This is achieved by adding a small amount of UVwash to laundry, during a wash. UVwash cannot be prevented from entering the environment immediately after the wash or over time from the laundry.
UVwash itself has a long shelf life without the use of preservatives. Also, no fragrances are added in UVwash. The environmental properties of the substances in UVwash in combination with the concentrations used means that UVwash does not require environmental labeling according to current EU legislation in this area. UVwash, especially at the quantities and concentrations used, can be considered “environmentally friendly”.
Because of health protection, hygiene and quality assurance, UVwash cannot be returned.
